Excise department and police officers sealing a liquor shop in Hardoi
A strange case of fraud has come to light in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. Here the liquor businessmen have taken over not one or two but 7 liquor shops by putting dirt in the eyes of the officials. For this, the status certificate presented by the liquor dealers is also fake. After checking the certificate in the bank, the excise department officials have filed a police report. A case has been registered against 10 people, including 6 names, in six separate cases.
Along with this, the excise department has confiscated the licenses of all these 7 shops. According to officials of the Excise Department, the fraud is perpetrated by influential liquor dealers of Wada district. According to officials, the FDs submitted as capacity certificates for six shops of the department to get licenses are fake. All these clone FDs are created from Bank of India. The total value of all these FDs is said to be Rs 90 lakh.
The Excise Department has disclosed
After this matter came to light, there was a rush in the excise department and panic spread among the liquor traders. According to Hardoi District Excise Officer Kunwar Pal, liquor dealer Kuldeep Agarwal used clone FDs to obtain licenses for his shops in Begumganj and Sumai. Similarly, Suresh Agarwal renovated shops by installing Clone FD at Circular Road and Kuldeep Agarwal and Rajkumar Agarwal at Numaish Square and Naveen Galla Mandi in Madhavganj.
Allegation of collusion against departmental officials
Similarly, Rajnish Singh and Kuldeep Agarwal, residents of Govardhanpur and Rajkumar Agarwal are also accused of acquiring shops by issuing fake FDs. He said that all these shops have been sealed and a case has been registered against them. According to officials, all documents are verified while allotting any shop. However, such a big mistake was made. Obviously this work is not possible without the connivance of departmental staff.
