A case of blackmailing the students of Jabalpur’s Mankunwarbai Mahila College by sending obscene videos has come to light, due to which the students are panicking. They are being harassed by continuous calls from unknown numbers. In these calls, the students are being threatened that their objectionable photos and videos will be made viral if they do not pay the demanded money. 10 to 50 thousand rupees have been demanded from the students. The students are mentally disturbed due to this incident. Now two students have come before the police and filed a complaint in the whole matter.

The case has been going on for about a week and during this time the blackmailer has demanded 10 to 50 thousand rupees from many students. More than 70 female students were also reported to be sending money to blackmailers. Students are being blackmailed by sending obscene videos on their mobile phones and extorting money. College and hostel girls are being targeted continuously. Some of the students are said to have stopped coming to the college and the families of some have beaten them up and closed the college, raising serious concerns about the safety of the students.

ABVP also staged a demonstration

An agitation was also held by Akhil Vidyarthi Parishad in this regard on Thursday. Against this blackmailing and harassment, the students protested in the college and informed the principal Dr. Sandhya Chaube. He has demanded from the college administration that a police complaint should be filed immediately in this matter and strict action should be taken against the culprits. ABVP student leader Anchal Mishra also raised his voice on the issue and demanded to ensure the safety of girl students.

The students demanded action from the police

Apart from this, there is also fear of leaking the numbers of female students, due to which they are becoming a victim of blackmailing. Seeing this serious situation, the college administration has appealed to the police to take immediate strict action. The college administration and the students are now waiting for the police to start an investigation into the matter at the earliest and arrest the culprits, so that the students can be freed from this mental torture.

The SP of Jabalpur informed about this matter

In this whole matter, Jabalpur Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh says that an application has been given by Mankunwarbai College Principal Sandhya Chaubey, in which the case of blackmailing two female students has come to light. These girls have come forward and filed a complaint. Other students are also being approached. Based on the complaint of the students, a case has been registered and an investigation into the previous case has been initiated.
