National capital Delhi is on high alert mode ahead of the country’s 78th Independence Day. Delhi Police and Army personnel are present at every corner for security arrangements. An intensive checking campaign is being conducted at all the borders of Delhi. The Red Fort has been impregnably fortified. About 50 thousand police personnel of Delhi Police have been deployed here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the national flag here on Thursday.
Independence will be celebrated across the country on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the tricolor flag at the Red Fort in Delhi. With this he will address the nation. The security system has been strengthened here. The Red Fort complex is being monitored by CCTV cameras and drones. Army men are ready at every corner. About 50 thousand police personnel of Delhi Police have been deployed here.
Entry into Delhi only after vehicle checking
Ahead of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, Delhi Police has made tight security arrangements. Several layers of barricading have been done at the borders adjacent to Delhi and vehicles are being allowed to move towards Delhi only after checking. Delhi Police and CRPF personnel are deployed at Gazipur border in Delhi and vehicles coming towards Delhi are barricaded and allowed to move towards Delhi only after intensive checking.
Multi-layer security system
CCTV cameras are being monitored for the security of the guests coming to the grand function of the Independence Day. A total ban has been imposed on movement of heavy vehicles in Delhi. Vehicles going towards Red Fort are being stopped. Only those vehicles on whose vehicles a pass has been issued are allowed to move in this direction. Multiple levels of security arrangements have been made on the road leading to Delhi’s Red Fort.
Vehicles prohibited at Chilla border till 12 noon
The road leading from ITO to Delhi Red Fort has been completely closed for general public. Only pass holders and very special guests are allowed on this side, only those with vehicle passes are allowed. Delhi Police and Traffic Police are stationed at RTO. Entry of heavy vehicles is strictly prohibited at Chilla border from Noida to Delhi from 4 am to 12 pm. Every vehicle going from Noida to Delhi is being allowed to pass only after intensive checking.
