Kolkata’s RG Car Hospital vandalized
Kolkata rape-murder cases are on the rise. A protest called ‘Reclaim the Night’ was organized last night after the rape-murder at RG Kar Medical College. People gathered in large numbers in front of the medical college and hospital. Some miscreants broke into RG Kar Medical College and Hospital and created ruckus. Prannoy Das, a security guard on duty at the hospital, described the entire incident in detail. According to Pranaya, about 500-1000 people gathered outside RG Kar Medical College around 1 am.
Pranoy said that miscreants had also vandalized the emergency ward. By the time the police administration was able to control the situation, it was too late. Prannoy further said that we closed the gate here, but they broke it. We went to another door, but they broke it down too. There were many scoundrels. At the same time, the number of security guards on duty was only 10-12. However, some policemen were also present for security. The number of miscreants was about 500-1000, so we could not fight them.

People broke into RG Kar Medical College and destroyed everything. The crowd broke everything. Almost all the gadgets in the college from computers to chairs were broken. The mob also destroyed medicines. CCTV cameras installed for security were also broken. It was becoming difficult to control the angry crowd.
After the Kolkata rape-murder case, on the eve of August 15, women demonstrated for their freedom and safety. The demonstration started after 11 pm on Wednesday. Women from all corners of the country participated in the demonstration. The exhibition was named ‘Reclaim the Night’.
