Dog Bobby will be deployed to guard the Independence Day celebrations.
A program will be organized at the Jalandhar Metropolitan Stadium on the occasion of Independence Day on 15th August. Bobby, a 5-year-old Labrador assigned to the Police Dog Squad, is responsible for the security of this state-level program. 5 year old Bobby has undergone special training for 9 months. Bobby is still on duty. Bobby not only recognizes familiars by smell, but also alerts enemies by smelling them. Bobby has been deployed at the stadium ahead of the Independence Day celebrations. Police are keeping a close eye on everyone’s suspicious activities.

In this matter, ASI Baldev Raj, an expert of the dog squad, said that this dog of the Labrador breed was brought to the police line a few days after birth. Along with nurturing this dog, a family relationship was also created with it. The name of this dog was in the police line itself.
Bobby started training at the age of 5 months
A separate room has been kept for Bobby in the police line, where a cooler has also been installed for him. ASI Baldev Raj said that the temperature is also balanced to keep Bobby in the room in changing weather. Cooler is switched off before leaving for duty. He said that as soon as Bobby turned 5 months, his special training started. ASI Baldev Raj said that after joining the dog squad, they are first trained to sniff the house.

The dog is given a special diet
To ensure that the dog’s sense of smell is not impaired, a suitable diet plan is created for the dog. Diet consists of milk, eggs, bread, boneless meat and chicken soup in winter. He said that in all the VIP programs held so far, Bobby’s duty is also installed there.
