A madrasa factory found in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, where fake notes were made, has been sealed. Investigation has revealed that rules have been ignored in the construction of this grand madrasa. During the investigation, it has been found that the three-storied building of the madrasa is illegal. According to PDA, a notice has been given to the madrasa committee regarding this illegal construction. If the answer is not legal, the bulldozer is sure to be used on it.
The palatial madrasa in Atarasuiya, a posh locality of Prayagraj, is said to cost Rs 100 crore. As the investigation of this madrasa progresses, new revelations are coming to the fore. First the exposure of the fake currency factory in the madrasa, then the recovery of suspicious books from the maulvi’s room and now after the illegal construction in the madrasa itself, it has been decided to bulldoze the madrasa itself.
40 rooms, 15 bathrooms in a luxurious madrasa
According to Ajit Kumar Singh, secretary of Prayagraj Development Authority, after a deep investigation of this madrasa, it was found that the 3-storey building of the madrasa was constructed without sanctioning the map. Not only that, evidence of illegal construction has also been found in 2700 square feet. The madrasa premises have 40 rooms, 15 bathrooms, student hostel, servant quarters, four entrances and a parking area.
A factory for printing fake notes was caught
On August 27, four people, including a cleric, were arrested for printing fake notes from the same madrasa in Atarasuiya area of Prayagraj, after which many shocking revelations were made when the investigating agencies started probing it. The price of this grand madrasa with forty rooms is estimated at more than 100 crore rupees. PDA has sealed the madrasa built in one and a half bigha area. The authority has also put up a banner of illegal construction here. Now PDA is waiting for Madrasa Committee’s reply. Meanwhile, PDA is also going to run an intensive campaign to know the reality of the construction of all madrasas in the city.
