A notice was pasted on the house
Notices have been issued against people trespassing on railway land near City Railway Station Road, Lanka and Opium Factory in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. According to which 40 people have been given time till 13th August i.e. Tuesday to remove the encroachment. If the encroachment is not removed, the Railway Administration will use bulldozers to remove the encroachment. There has been a flurry of notices being issued to encroachers.
The British built a railway line from the railway station in Ghazipur city to their factory in Ghazipur to transport opium. Opium was trafficked on this railway track for a long time. However, last 20-25 years ago opium traffic was stopped on this railway line. After which people took possession of this railway line and started building houses around it.
Last time 67 temporary encroachments were removed
Recently, railways issued notices to encroachers and some people’s houses were also demolished. During this period, 67 temporary encroachments were removed and after that the railway operations were stopped for a few days. Now the action has started once again. Under which other encroachers, 40 of whom have been identified by the railway administration, have been given notices to remove their encroachments before August 13.

The administration has pasted notices on their houses and even put a cross mark on some houses. The railway administration plans to free this land from encroachment and construct a residential building for railway employees here.
In fact, from the city railway station through Lanka to the opium factory, the railway owns about 5 lakh square feet of land. People have been encroaching on this railway land for years. There are also temporary encroachments. People have built everything from tin sheds, huts to permanent homes. But now the railway administration has taken care of his land.
Bulldozers will run if the encroachment is not removed
After the removal of this encroachment, a building equipped with all facilities will be constructed on the land vacated by the Railways and will be allotted to the Railway employees. Regarding the second phase of the drive from August 13, RPF in-charge Gazipur City Station Amit Rai said preparations to remove encroachments have been completed. And if the encroachers do not remove the encroachment themselves, the bulldozer of the administration will be used on their encroachment.
