A woman gives birth to a tenth child
The motto of Hum Do-Hamari Do is given to the growing population of the country. There are also some tribes in the country who have got the status of Specially Protected Tribes. One such tribe is the Bainga caste of Balaghat district. People are being made aware of the population increase, but on the other hand, a woman from the Bainga tribe has given birth to her tenth child. 35-year-old Jugatibai hails from the Bainga tribal community. She gave birth to her tenth child by caesarean section on the night of 8th July.
The woman was only 13 years old when she became a mother for the first time. Dr. Archana Lilhare said that we have not sterilized the endangered Bainga tribes to save them. He said that the age of the woman is currently 35 years. The woman does not have any kind of official document from the government so that the family can benefit from the scheme. Currently, the woman is kept in special care after cesarean section. Now both mother and child are safe.
The first three children are deceased
According to Asha worker Rekha Katre, the woman Jugatibai is a resident of Mohgaon in Mohgaon municipality. The woman was taken to Birsa Hospital due to labor pain. Here the baby’s arm came out and he was brought to the district hospital for cesarean delivery. After the operation, the woman gave birth to a son. This is his tenth son. The woman’s first born three children have died. Ashavarkar further said that the husband of the family has gone outside to earn. The condition of the family is very bad, there is no place for the woman to stay after being discharged from the hospital. She just came back with 6 kids in the neighborhood.
The woman is the mother of seven sons and three daughters.
35-year-old Jugtibai gave birth to her first daughter. His daughter is currently 22 years old and married. After this, a son lives 13 years, 09 years, daughter 08 years, son 06 years, son 03 years and a day. While the second, seventh and eighth children died two to three months after delivery. Two children of the woman who gave birth to her tenth child have gone out with their father to earn money, while one is with her grandmother in the village. Two children are under the care of a neighbor and the 8-9 year old daughter has come to the district hospital with her mother.
