After the Lok Sabha elections, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis has become politically active again. In the last 30 days, Fadnavis has held 3 meetings with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh officials. The last meeting between Fadnavis and the Sangh was held in Nagpur on August 10. It is being said that Arun Kumar, the leader of the Sangh, was also present in this meeting. Devendra Fadnavis’ three meetings with RSS officials in 30 days have created suspense in state politics.
This is because of Fadnavis’ growth in stature after these meetings. BJP has announced that Devendra Fadnavis will do the work from allotment of seats to allotment of tickets in Maharashtra. In such a scenario, the debate is, whose game in Maharashtra politics could deteriorate due to Fadnavis becoming politically powerful?

1. First Debate- Name of Ajit Pawar?
Ajit Pawar is the Deputy CM in Maharashtra government and partner of NDA in Maharashtra. Speculations about Ajith have become intense since the Lok Sabha elections. It is being said that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh organizations are very upset with Ajith’s role in the NDA. This has been discussed in all the meetings so far.
The issue was vociferously raised in Fadnavis’ meeting with Vidarbha Pradesh officials. However, it is being said that Fadnavis favored Ajith in this seat, but now all eyes are on seat sharing.
In Maharashtra, the NDA may share seats by the end of August. This order has been given to Fadnavis by BJP. In such a situation, all eyes are on the final seat sharing deal. Whether Fadnavis plays a role with Ajith in this deal remains to be seen.
Ajit Pawar’s party is claiming 100 assembly seats. Ajith says his party’s position is strong in Marathwada and western Maharashtra. Currently, Ajith has 42 MLAs.
2. Also a game for leaders seeking succession?
Devendra Fadnavis resigned after the crushing defeat in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that the moral responsibility of the defeat is mine, so I am resigning. Fadnavis expressed his desire to work in the organization. After Fadnavis’ resignation, discussions about his successor have intensified.
From Mumbai to Delhi, many names were discussed regarding Fadnavis’ successor, but now the way Fadnavis is holding meetings with the Sangh. In such a situation, it is being said that his chair may not move.
On one hand, Fadnavis’s resignation has not been accepted, on the other hand, Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar has announced that Fadnavis will handle seat distribution and ticket distribution.
Discussions are also going on about Fadnavis
This is not what has been seen in BJP since 2014 till now. No matter what is claimed about the meeting between Sangh officials and Devendra Fadnavis, there is also talk that Maharashtra Deputy CM Fadnavis may also be shifted to Delhi.
