The gross negligence of a private school in Haryana’s Kurukshetra has come to light, where more than two dozen children of a school have fallen victim to a deadly disease like jaundice. It is being said that the children developed jaundice after drinking the school’s dirty water. An atmosphere of fear prevailed in the children’s family as soon as the information about the illness was received. Currently the family members are getting the children treated. Even after such a big incident, no impact is seen on the school administration.

It is being told that many children suddenly fell ill at school on Tuesday. When these children were examined, reports of 24 children confirmed jaundice. Hearing the news of so many children falling ill, panic spread among the families. Children are currently being treated to prevent any untoward incident due to this disease. When the family members told the school administration about their children’s illness, they avoided the whole matter.

Children fell ill after drinking dirty water

The school administration attributed it to a weather-related illness. He also said that so many children falling ill together, that too from the same school, was just a matter of coincidence. The doctors who are treating the children say that the children have fallen ill due to drinking dirty water. Doctors say that the drinking water tank at the school may have become dirty, due to which the children drank the water and fell ill.

The school management categorically denied any wrongdoing

However, the school management has completely rejected the doctor’s statement. Usha Gupta, managing director of the school, called it a disease caused by changing weather. He said that such diseases have become common in this season. The director further said that as far as the cleaning of the water tank is concerned, the tank is regularly cleaned by adding chlorine. Currently, school administrators are making a list of sick children and contacting them.
