Villagers rescuing teachers from drowning in Gandak

A shocking incident has come to light in Betia, Bihar. 22 teachers trapped in Gandak flood were shifted to safe place. On Monday morning, these teachers were crossing the Gandak in a boat when the boat overturned. Due to which all the teachers started drowning and there was chaos in the place. Fortunately, people present at the scene jumped in and pulled all these teachers out safely. However, in the meantime, the condition of 10 teachers became critical due to water filling their lungs.

Most of them are female teachers. After receiving information about the incident, the education department has called for a report on this. The incident took place at Pooja Patjirwa Ghat in Bairia block of Betia. According to the information, these teachers were being sent from the flood affected area of ​​Gandak to different schools in Diara. For this, all these teachers came to the ghat and boarded the boat and as soon as the boat was opened, the boat collided with another boat standing nearby.

The villagers saved the teachers

Due to which all the teachers in the boat fell into the water and started drowning. Due to which there was an uproar. It was a good coincidence that some villagers were present at the spot and they immediately jumped into the river and pulled out all the teachers. In the meantime, the lungs of teachers like Snehalta, Sumit Kumar Verma, Pratima Pathak, Santhosh Kumar Chaudhary, Laxman Kumar, Sandeep Kumar, Abha Kumari and Gopal Kumar etc. were filled with more water.

Due to which his health deteriorated. All these teachers were immediately taken to the hospital. Other teachers are very angry about this incident. Regarding this, West Champaran district officer Dinesh Rai said that he asked the district education officer to evacuate the teachers from the flood-affected area and send them to a safe place. Meanwhile, this incident has happened. He has sought a report from the education department officials regarding the incident.
