What is surprising is that this brutality was done to the woman on a day when the entire country was celebrating Rakshabandhan, a festival of love and protection.
In a village in Pusaur police station area, about 15 kilometers south of Raigad district headquarters, a tribal woman was ready to go to Raigad to see a fair and was seen standing alone at the bus stand waiting for a bus, accused Rahul. Chauhan and his henchmen attacked him. After that, everyone raped the woman here. At around 10 pm, the victim somehow called the sarpanch of her village and narrated the entire incident. The Sarpanch of the village came to know about this and informed the police station. After receiving the report, the police arrested 6 accused.
The search for the main accused is on
The main accused Rahul is absconding and a search is on for him. The total number of accused in this incident is said to be 15, out of which one is a minor. Top police officials are investigating to get to the bottom of the matter. The victim’s parents are in shock after the incident with their daughter. The victim has an 8-year-old son and the woman had been staying at her maternal uncle’s house for several years after divorcing her husband. However, the victim and her parents are circling the police station premises hoping for justice and police constables are investigating to nab all the accused.
Former minister Anila Bhedia gave a statement
Informing about the matter, the Superintendent of Police of Raigad said that based on the complaint of the victim, the Pusaur police registered an FIR and took immediate action and arrested 6 accused. The victim has been admitted to the hospital for medical examination. Now his condition is normal. Based on his statement, the search for other accused is also going on. Serious allegations against BJP
Anila called the Raigad incident another Nirbhaya incident. Anila alleged that cases of molestation and rape of girls are constantly coming to light in the state and that women and girls are not safe under the BJP government. Blaming the BJP, Anila further said that the son of a BJP leader was involved in the Raigad incident. Chief Minister Vishnudev is sitting with his eyes and ears closed. Chief Minister Sai has kept his tongue sealed and brutality against women in the state continues.
