Jabalpur city is called the cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh. Here comes a strange case. In the digital age, more than one crore rupees was defrauded from a well-known family in the name of Bhoot-Pret and Tantra-Mantra. The fraudsters also include two genuine brothers. The accused’s brother and his friend used to tell the victim’s family that their house was haunted by ghosts.

The thug brothers told of 14 ghosts on their land, hundreds of ghosts in the house, and tons of gold and silver buried there. He cheated the family for eight years. The victim has lodged a complaint with the police. Police have registered a case and started investigation. Police say that the accused will be arrested soon.

More than 1 crore fraud

Shakuntala Devi, who lives in the most elite Anantara Colony of Jabalpur, has lodged a complaint with the police. He alleges that two real brothers and a friend of his have cheated him of over one crore rupees in the name of Pooja over the past few years. According to the police, Shakuntala Devi said that Arun Dubey and Varun Dubey are real brothers. In 2016, she befriended Shakuntala’s son Brijendra Batav through social media. After talking and chatting for a few days, Arun and Varun said that he is a great scholar of Vedic astrology and can solve any problem in a jiffy.

Worshiped at home

Both the brothers claimed that their Guru instantly solved the problems which could not be solved by astrology. Shakuntala Devi and her son Vijendra fell prey to the deceitful brothers and began to feel that their house was being haunted by a ghost, they brought the first two brothers and one of their friends to worship. The accused brothers told Shakuntala Devi that now she has to write a letter to Dandi Swami, which will solve all her problems.

Reported 14 ghosts on land, took 40 lakh rupees

The victim’s family wrote to Dandi Swami about their problems. A few days later, the two brothers arrived with a letter from Dandi Swami which was written in response to Shakuntala Devi’s letter. He said that 14 ghosts live in the land he owns. Due to which there are difficulties in his life. The process of exorcising one by one has started. Shakuntala alleged that in the meantime, approximately Rs 40 lakh was taken from him in the name of exorcising 14 ghosts. Along with Arun and Varun, Sachin Upadhyay, resident of Ambedkar Chowk, Shanti Nagar, was also involved in this scam.

There are hundreds of ghosts in the house

After a few days, the trio again reached Dandi Swami with a letter. He said that Shakuntala Devi has hundreds of ghosts living in another house. That ghost lives there for the Shakuntala Batav family. Accused said that if that house is donated then all the work of the family starts to succeed. The accused also said that the house would be returned to their name once the ghost problem was over.

Hundreds of tons of gold and silver are buried in the ground

Shakuntala donated that house as per his request. After which both the accused brothers started living there. Meanwhile, the accused also lured him to get the hidden money. Shakuntala Devi says she was told that the land she owned contained hundreds of tonnes of gold and silver. Dandi Swami seeing all this in sadhana, he said that this can be achieved through pooja as well. The accused said that 6 lakh rupees were spent on this puja. Also took Rs.1 lakh 25 thousand separately for gold ring with topaz stone. Shakuntala Devi alleges that she was captured fearing the death of her son and husband Gulab Chand. The accused cheated the family of more than one crore rupees.
