The Supreme Court has given a big decision to Amrapali Projects. After this decision, it will be much easier for the government construction company NBCC to raise Rs 15,000 crore. In fact, the Supreme Court has approved the construction of more flats in the Amrapali projects. This means that the FAR of these projects will be increased. After which more than 13 thousand additional flats can be built in these projects. The sale of these flats can help in raising a huge amount for the projects stalled due to the financial crisis. Let us also tell you what kind of proposal has come out from the Supreme Court regarding the Amrapali projects.

Gambling worth Rs 15,000 crore

During the hearing on August 29, the country’s Supreme Court cleared the way for NBCC to build additional flats in the Amrapali projects. Around 13,000 flats can be built in projects near Amrapali. These flats will provide NBCC with a way to raise Rs 15,000 crore. This money will also help to provide housing to over 16,000 existing cable houses, which are stuck due to lack of funds.

As per the report, NBCC will give Rs 484.92 crore to Greater Noida Authority and Rs 258.24 crore to Noida Authority for FAR along with 18 per cent GST. For some time, NBCC was making a lot of efforts for construction of additional floors to complete the stalled Amrapali projects. So that the fund shortage can be removed.

A bench headed by Supreme Court Justice Bela M Trivedi passed this order while approving the minutes of the joint meeting of officials of NBCC, Noida and Greater Noida authorities and lawyers representing homebuyers. This joint meeting was held on August 26 at the house of Attorney General R Venkataramani.

Venkataramani is the court-appointed receiver, who has been entrusted with the responsibility of completing the stalled Amrapali projects. On the other hand, the court has directed the authorities of both cities to approve the building within 30 days of the issuance of the NOC by NBCC. On the other hand, the court has directed the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority to grant environmental clearance within two months of the filing of the application.
