Considering the seriousness of the situation, the Chhattisgarh government has announced an aid of Rs 15 crore each to the disaster-affected states of Tripura and Kerala.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that Tripura and Kerala have suffered a lot due to natural calamities in the last few days. “My condolences go out to those affected by the disaster,” he said. Chhattisgarh government is ready to help both the states in this difficult situation.
The situation in Kerala-Tripura including Gujarat is alarming
Heavy rains are falling these days from north to south including Jammu and Kashmir. Rivers are raging. Along with Gujarat, Tripura and Kerala are also receiving record breaking rains. Dozens of villages are affected by landslides and floods. Dambur dam in Dhalai district has overflowed. The calamity in the state is being assessed. Around 1.27 lakh people have been displaced in Tripura and more than 17 lakh people have been affected by the floods.
At the same time, yellow alert of heavy rain has been issued in 22 states of the country including Kerala. According to the Meteorological Department, the torrential rains in these states do not seem to stop soon.
